Our health advisory is currently set at the YELLOW/CAUTION tier of concern, the lowest of three tiers of concern. However, even low levels of this toxin can cause serious health issues for both humans and animals.

For your family’s safety:

  • Keep children away from algae in the water or on the shore
  • Do not let pets and other animals go into or drink the water, or eat algae/scum on the shoreline
  • For fish caught here, throw away guts and clean fillets with tap water before cooking

  • Call your doctor or veterinarian if you or your pet gets sick after going in the water

This Public Health Advisory will remain in place until detected toxin levels decrease below the trigger alert level (Until further notice). If you have any questions, please email Hans Voight at hans.voight@puliklatribe.gov or call 482-2431
