Caring for Our Homelands

The Natural Resources Department works to protect the cultural and natural resources of the Tribe’s Ancestral Territory. Guided by Indigenous traditonal knowledge, research, and monitoring, the department supports the health and biodiversity of the Tribe’s ancestral lands and waters for future generations.

Programs and Initiatives

The department leads programs and initiatives that include, but are not limited to fisheries monitoring and restoration, water quality sampling, wetlands conservation, marine stewardship, solid waste management, and providing community drinking water.
